I watch all cutscenes and movies. They are here to tell the story of the mission and usually are a pleasure to watch. Unless I've played that mission a ton of times, I do NOT skip them. I would not like to be forced to skip them because some party members already played the mission.

/not signed. I really would not want to subject newer players who've never seen the cut-scene to the impatience of so many people in the community. Many times I've heard the kind of comments people make after being subjected to a cut-scene that they wanted to skip but others wanted to watch; "OMFG! SKIP TEH F******* CUT SCENES YOU STUPID NOOBS!" Sometimes followed by */ragequit* from the poster. Imagine what kind of crap would get posted if chat were allowed during the scene?

That or just make it a majority vote. As soon as 50% or more of the players want to skip, it skips.

Then they would always be skipped. New players are almost always in the minority nowadays and would thus probably never see the cutscenes with such a system as you are suggesting.

I'd say keep the current system and freeze whatever is going on (health degen/regen, etc.) for the duration of the cutscene(s), but also add NPCs that will replay all the ingame mission cutscenes once you've been through it/them. That way, if you're new and see that most people want to skip, you can skip as well, but still have an opportunity to see the cutscene later.
